Which fragrances are available?
The MADOO collection begins with three distinctive fragrance compositions, each with its own character.
NOIRA is warm, sensual and layered, with notes of bergamot, rose, cedarwood and ambergris.
IMANI is rich, authentic and mysterious, with notes of orange, rose, honey, violet, vanilla and white musk.
NOVA is fresh and refined, with notes of grapefruit, orange flower, sage, iris, cedarwood, vetiver and oakmoss.
The fragrances are available as a MADOO Candle, Candle Refill, Mini Candle Refill and Reed Diffuser Fragrance Refill.
The Discovery Box contains six mini candles, two of each fragrance, and offers an introduction to the world of MADOO.
What is a MADOO candle made from?
Every MADOO candle is made with 100 percent plant based rapeseed wax and carefully selected perfume oils.
Our candles are vegan and contain no paraffin, phthalates or parabens.
How long will a MADOO candle burn?
The MADOO Candle and Candle Refill contain 350 grams of wax and offer approximately 60 hours of fragrance and light when cared for correctly.
Each mini candle contains 30 grams of wax.
Burn time may vary depending on the length of the wick, the duration of each burn and the environment in which the candle is placed.
How should I care for my candle?
Before every burn, trim the wick to approximately 5 millimetres.
During the first burn, allow the wax to melt evenly across the surface. This helps the candle burn beautifully and evenly throughout its life.
Do not burn the candle for longer than four hours at a time. Always place it on a stable surface that can withstand heat and keep it away from draughts, children and pets.
Never leave a burning candle unattended.
How does the Candle Refill work?
The porcelain stays. The fragrance is renewed.
Once the candle has finished, allow the vessel to cool completely. Remove the remaining wax and wick base, wipe the inside with a soft cloth and clean the porcelain with warm water. Allow it to dry completely.
Place the MADOO Candle Refill inside the porcelain vessel and gently press it down until it sits securely and centrally.
The Candle Refill has been created exclusively for the MADOO porcelain vessel and must never be burned on its own.
Can the porcelain vessel become a reed diffuser?
Yes. The MADOO porcelain vessel was designed to evolve with you.
Once the vessel is completely clean and dry, it can be transformed into a reed diffuser using the Wenge Wood Lid, Reed Diffuser Fragrance Refill and Natural Rattan Reeds.
Place the Wenge Wood Lid onto the vessel with the brass insert positioned inside. Add the reeds and allow the fragrance to diffuse naturally throughout the room.
The lid, fragrance refill and reeds are available separately.
How should I use the Natural Rattan Reeds?
Use all eight reeds for a fuller fragrance experience or use fewer reeds for a softer diffusion.
Allow 24 to 48 hours for the fragrance to travel through the reeds. Turn the reeds approximately once a week to refresh the scent, taking care to protect the surface beneath the vessel.
For the purest fragrance experience, use a new set of reeds whenever you change or renew the fragrance.
How should I care for the porcelain?
The MADOO porcelain vessel is reusable and dishwasher safe up to 72°C.
Always remove any remaining wax and the wick base before cleaning. Allow the vessel to dry completely before placing a new Candle Refill inside or transforming it into a reed diffuser.
Clean the Wenge Wood Lid carefully with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. The wooden lid must never be placed in the dishwasher or submerged in water.
What does the Lifetime Porcelain Guarantee cover?
MADOO created its porcelain vessels to be kept, reused and enjoyed for years to come.
The Lifetime Porcelain Guarantee covers material and manufacturing defects in the MADOO porcelain vessel for as long as you own it. Where appropriate, MADOO will repair or replace the vessel.
The guarantee applies only to the porcelain vessel. It does not cover the wax, fragrance, reeds or Wenge Wood Lid, or damage caused by dropping, impact, incorrect use or normal wear.
The Lifetime Porcelain Guarantee is offered in addition to your statutory consumer rights and does not affect them.

How much does delivery cost?
Every order is carefully prepared in the Netherlands and shipped as a tracked parcel, with packaging created to protect the porcelain.
Delivery within the Netherlands costs €6.95 and is complimentary on orders from €125.
Orders are normally prepared within one to three business days.
After dispatch, delivery usually takes:
Netherlands and Belgium: one to two business days
Other EU countries: two to seven business days
International destinations: five to fourteen business days

Can I return my order?
You may notify us within 14 days of receiving your order if you wish to return it.
Products should be returned in their original condition and, where possible, in their original packaging. You may be responsible for any reduction in value caused by handling or using a product beyond what is necessary to assess it.
The cost of returning an order is paid by the customer, unless the product arrived damaged, defective or incorrect.

What should I do if my order arrives damaged?
Every MADOO order is packed with care. In the unlikely event that your order arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as possible, preferably within 48 hours of delivery.
Email contact@madoo-amsterdam.com with your order number and clear photographs of the product, the packaging and the shipping box.
Our team will review the situation personally and arrange an appropriate solution.
