1. Who we are

2. Scope
These terms apply to every offer by MADOO and to every order placed through this website. By placing an order, the customer accepts these terms. Where these terms conflict with mandatory consumer law, that law prevails.
3. Products and offers
Products are described and shown as accurately as possible. Porcelain, Wenge wood and rattan are natural or handmade materials, so small variations in colour, grain and finish are part of their character and are not defects. Colours may appear slightly different on screen. Offers are valid while stocks last. Obvious mistakes or errors in the offer do not bind MADOO.
4. Prices
All prices are in euros and include Dutch VAT. Shipping costs are shown separately at checkout, before payment. MADOO may change prices; the price shown at the moment of ordering applies.
5. Orders and the contract
The contract is formed when the customer completes the order and receives an order confirmation by email. MADOO may refuse or cancel an order in case of an obvious pricing error, suspected fraud or unavailability of a product, in which case any amount paid is refunded in full.
6. Payment
Payment is made at checkout using one of the payment methods offered. Orders are processed after payment has been received.
7. Delivery
Delivery times and costs are described in the Shipping Policy. Delivery times are indications. If an order cannot be delivered within 30 days, the customer is informed and may cancel the order free of charge. The risk of damage or loss passes to the customer on delivery.
8. Right of withdrawal
Consumers have a right of withdrawal of 14 days. The conditions, exceptions and the model withdrawal form are set out in the Refund Policy.
9. Conformity and statutory warranty
Products meet the agreement and the reasonable expectations of the customer. Consumers are entitled to the statutory warranty (conformity) under Dutch and EU law. Defects should be reported within a reasonable time after discovery.
10. Lifetime Porcelain Guarantee
In addition to the statutory warranty, MADOO offers the Lifetime Porcelain Guarantee on the porcelain vessel, as described in the Refund Policy and on the guarantee page. It does not limit statutory rights.
11. Safe use
Candles and fragrance oils must be used according to the instructions on the product page and packaging. Never leave a burning candle unattended, burn candles on a stable, heat-resistant surface, keep them away from children, pets, draughts and flammable materials, and never burn a candle refill outside the MADOO porcelain vessel or mini holder. Keep fragrance oil away from children and pets, and avoid contact with skin, eyes and delicate surfaces. MADOO is not liable for damage resulting from use contrary to these instructions.
12. Liability
MADOO's liability is limited to the amount of the order concerned, except in the case of intent or gross negligence, and except where the law does not allow such a limitation.
13. Intellectual property
All content on this website, including texts, photos, illustrations, the MADOO name and logo, is owned by MADOO or its licensors and may not be used without written permission.
14. Privacy
Personal data is processed as described in the Privacy Policy.
15. Complaints
Complaints can be sent to contact@madoo-amsterdam.com. MADOO responds within 14 days. If a complaint cannot be resolved together, the consumer may submit the dispute to the competent court.
16. Applicable law
These terms and every contract with MADOO are governed by Dutch law. Consumers living in another EU country keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the law of their country of residence.
17. Changes
MADOO may change these terms. The version applicable at the time of ordering applies to that order.
